Designing Your Yacht
Carolinian’s hull designs come from legendary designer and founder of Jarrett Bay Boatworks, Jim Luxton. The Carolina Hull Design was introduced years ago by fishermen on the Outer Banks of North Carolina to navigate the treacherous inlets and to withstand the rough seas found offshore in the area. The exaggerated bow flare with a sharp entry and graceful transition to the tumble home became a trademark for the Carolina built boats.
Built to Last
Combining selected woods that are fully encapsulated, a Carolinian boat offers rock solid construction, providing a soft ride found in wooden boats but with the lasting protection provided by the use of modern components.
Cold Molded Plus
Carolinian combines traditional plank on frame construction with modern epoxies, fiberglass, and composites to achieve a light, yet uncompromisingly strong hull.

Planks are hand laid & faired North Carolina Juniper over a wooden frame which are fully encapsulated by applying epoxy and fiberglass on both inside and out. Layered Okoume plywood is then used to cover all decks, the house, and the bridge. Once fully sanded, enclosed, and primed, we then apply Awlgrip paint for a mirror perfect finish.
